About the event
Get into the merriment of the season as you step back in time and learn about Christmas traditions of
the 19th century! Visit us on Sunday December 3 rd from 11-3 and delight in the sights, sounds, and
smells of the holiday season as you tour the village decorated with evergreen boughs, bright ribbons,
and berries. Enjoy watching heritage demonstrations, creating crafts, meeting Father Christmas, and
more! Hot drinks will also be available for purchase. This is a kid-friendly and family-oriented event.
Please dress for the weather. Please note we are a cash only site.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED:
The Scugog Shores Museum Village and Archives is looking for volunteers for the annual
Christmas in the Village event “Children’s Old-Fashioned Christmas”.
Step back in time and tour our historic village traditionally decorated for the holidays with
evergreen boughs, bright ribbons, and berries. Children’s crafts, parlour games, hot apple cider,
and a visit with Santa make this a family-fun event for all. Children under 12 enter free with a
food donation for Operation Scugog.
Volunteer jobs include:
Directing guests
Playing games with children in the parlour
Running the craft station
Assisting Santa
This event will be Sunday December 3rd from 11am-3pm. Volunteer shifts are from 10am-
3:30pm.
