Step Up Step Out North Durham is an online community that promotes local events and volunteer opportunities through our online calendar and social media. We also aim to inspire people to get involved in their communities and work to build goodwill through connection with each other. Step Up Step Out is for everyone. Submit your events and volunteer positions for us to promote OR look for something that suits your interests! Our blog also contains some great tips, inspiration and ideas for getting involved!
Strong communities thrive when their residents can connect, find ways to work together and build goodwill. Step Up, Step Out North Durham was created to provide a space for community members to find meaningful connection and opportunities to give back through volunteerism and events. Its mission is to encourage those personal connections and to inspire people to find new and exciting ways to build goodwill. It is also a place where organizations, charities, businesses and the public are welcome to share their events in one place.
Hello! My name is Kristen Meyer-Creamer and I am thrilled to meet you! Thank you for taking the time to find out what Step Up Step Out is all about. I've worked for over a decade to inspire a spirit of volunteerism in my community of Scugog. I'm proud to be involved in many charity and community organizations on the board or committee level including the Scugog Chamber of Commerce, Scugog Arts, The Queen Bees of Scugog, Fill a Purse for a Sister and more.
As a marketing and social media professional with over 15 years experience, I have worked on countless event marketing projects. From beer festivals to awards ceremonies to dragon boat competitions to stage productions and beyond.
Over the years, through my work I have noted the need for a singular space where people can find events and volunteer opportunities in North Durham. This is now that space!
