About the event
The Township of Scugog is once again hosting its annual Canada Day celebration in Palmer Park on Saturday, July 1, 2023! The day begins with the Support our Troops parade featuring “Vettes for Vets” at 10:30am. This lively parade features new and antique cars, fife & drum and pipe bands, appearances from local organizations, military vehicles, Spyder roadsters, and more! Opening ceremonies begin at 11:30am with a singing of the national anthem and appearances from our very special guests.
Explore the culinary variety of all the amazing food vendors, including a FREE hot dog or pizza lunch provided by Maple Leaf Foods and Dominos Pizza. Revel in the talent of our LIVE and local entertainers, quench your thirst at the Old Flame Brewing Co. beverage tent, peruse various artisan vendor stands, and keep the kids occupied in the Kids Zone featuring inflatables, crafts and games from the Township’s own recreation and museum staff, face painting and more! Finish the day with an unforgettable fireworks show over lake Scugog at 10pm.
