About the event

Established in 1995, the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory is one of the most successful migration monitoring stations in Canada. Guest speaker, Bryan Joyce, will take us behind the scenes of this research station situated on a National Wildlife Area near Lake Ontario. He will explain how birds are captured, recorded, and safely released at the Observatory. Learn how this globally significant birding area attracts an abundance of song birds, butterflies, and Saw-whet owls every year. 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿: Bryan Joyce is the co-founder of the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory who received his ecology degree from Carleton University. Presented in partnership with North Durham Nature. Registration is not required and all are welcome!
